Puff Sleeve Loft Sweater | Loft Pocket Shift Skirt | Vince Camuto Karinda Over The Knee Boots | Kendra Scott Diane Earrings
I’ve never made “workwear Wednesday” a thing, but I deem today just that! One of my biggest requests is style inspiration for work, sooo I figured now that the seasons are changing, it’s a good time to readdress it.
This time of year in Texas is cool in the morning and toasty by afternoon. I’ve mentioned it time and time again, but because of this, I like to dress for fall with textures and layers. It helps bring autumn vibes, without suffering from a heatstroke because of how warm your sweater actually is. One specific way I like to do this is with skirts! This week it’s literally all I’ve worn to work- suede mini skirt, black denim skirt, vegan leather skirt, etc. This allows for my legs to breathe (“lol), plus I can throw on whatever top I want, depending on the weather.
The problem with this?? Some skirts can just be too short. And for me, I have a booty, so skirts appear even shorter and tighter, so I have to be really careful. A place that I love the shop for workwear that I can pretty much guarantee will be work length appropriate, is Loft. That’s where this ensemble is from! The skirt is the prettiest caramel hue, so you can pair it with most colors - red, burgundy, black, navy, green, do I neeeed to keep going?! The sweater is lightweight, so layer-able anddd it’s a basic whitish cream, so it too goes with everything. I know it’s not in everyone’s budget for new clothes, so I like to give inspiration like this, but also share basics so that they can go further/you can shop smarter. Loft usually has a lot of sales - pretty sure they are having one now, so scoop these pieces up if you have been budgeting for a sale and need some classic items. For the most part, I shop price-points with y’all in mind and usually let y’all know my splurge pieces + why I think they are worth it. But pretty sure, like I said, everything in this post is on sale, so you’re welcome!
Side note, this was photographed at Gasworks Park in Seattle, Washington. Nick and I actually took some of our engagement photos there!! You can see them here.
Happy fall and pumpkins, y’all!
