Today I’m going to go over how you can use cbd oil and the benefits I’ve seen from usage. HOW TO USE CBD OIL:

If you are new to CBD oil, start low and slow. Begin with a quarter dropper full and go from there. Don’t forget to shake the product before using it! WildPlant Wellness uses coconut oil as a carrier oil, so it is a MUST to shake the product prior to using to get a non-separated, more effective dosage.

I typically put about half dropper of WildPlant Wellness under my tongue for at least 20 seconds, then swallow what is left. That’s actually how I take my turmeric/ginger tincture too! This helps the CBD help you faster! By holding it under your tongue, your bloodstream readily absorbs it through your oral cavity. If you don’t want to ingest it directly, you can also put it in smoothies, cocktails, sauces, and more! It is just full-spectrum hemp oil and high end coconut oil, so there isn’t much flavor.

If you don’t want to ingest it at all, you can also apply it topically! Just apply it directly to the area and massage in.

WHEN TO USE CBD OIL:

To feel the effects to the fullest, you should take it regularly. To be honest, I’m not the best at remembering to take it daily and have been more of a “take it when I need it” person. There’s nothing wrong with this; however, you experience the benefits better when you make it a part of your regular life.

I’ll get into “when” I specifically take it below.

WHAT CBD OIL HAS HELPED ME WITH:

  • Headaches. If I have any inkling of a headache, I reach for my cbd oil immediately. It usually clears it up in under an hour. Note I’ve only seen this with semi-mild headaches, NOT migraines. Those are a different story.

  • Stress. When I feel stress, come on I typically notice it because I’m not breathing very deeply. It isn’t that I can’t breathe, but that I can’t get enough air. My heart rate increases and I begin to get a headache. When I feel the first effects of stress (shortness of breath) I reach for the CBD and it helps to relax me.

  • Sleep. I don’t have a ton of sleep issues * knock on wood * BUT when I have trouble turning my brain off, I each for CBD. I sleep so well / hard when I take it!

  • I’ve received some questions about if CBD oil has helped me with my ulcerative colitis symptoms. I can’t say whether or not it has helped me in that aspect. I’m still within 6 months of my diagnosis and still on mediations morning and night. I will say that I did take it daily and felt like it made me constipated… that could have just been a fluke, but I haven’t worked up the courage to try again. I haven’t seen any issues taking it as needed!
