If you've been following my blog for at least a week, you know that I recently had an event at the Blues Jean Bar!**** (If you're new, catch up here and here). Whenever a blogger/store holds an event, it is typical to make it a "sip and shop". I mean who doesn't love that? A little bubbly, a little bite, and a sale in the store! It's well know that I like to support small and niche businesses, so when thinking about who to have do the treats, Lala's Cakes came to mind!

Lala's Cakes is run by Lauren Elizabeth Lee, a local Dallasite. She just happens to have the same first 2 names as me, so we instantly made a connection. All of Lauren's confectionery creations are just beautiful, but up until the event, I had not tried any of her treats. And let  me tell you...the finished product exceeded my expectations immensely! For my sip + shop, she made two kinds of cupcakes: a hazelnut dark chocolate with  a marshmallow filling and a bourbon vanilla - both were incredibly delicious!

Not only does Lauren have an amazing knack for catering goods, but she has a sugar coated resume as well! She went to the Art Institute of Dallas and graduated with a degree in Culinary Hospitality and Management. Lauren has been featured on Cupcake Wars, Cake Wars, and has been a winner of the American Airlines Culinary Competition. Not into cake or cupcakes? No problem! She can do anything from sugar cookies to macarons and  cinnamon rolls to key lime pie. If you're in Dallas and needs some sweets for 40 or even 400, Lala's Cakes is your girl! She can deliver the goods on-site, and is prompt and professional. What more could you want?!

To learn more about Lala's offerings, check out her Website here. Keep up with her daily life via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

As always, if you know a brand that fits my style or are a company that would like to work with me, contact me here! If you want to catch up on the previous weeks' features, check out my Southern Elle Style Shop Share Pinterest Board here, with direct links to the posts.

****The Blues Jean Bar Dallas is now updating itself to become Denim and Soul, after being featured on The Profit with Marcus Lemonis
