I know I said it in my last San Diego post, but I still mean it! I feel like Dallas didn't give me chance to warm up to the idea of cold weather. One day it was 79 degrees and sunny, and the next day, it was 44 degrees, with a 10 mile an hour wind chill, and heavy rain. As you saw on my Instagram, I spent Sunday afternoon cuddled up with some Dude Sweet Hot Chocolate and my computer, editing all my San Diego pics. Am I seriously longing for another vacation day in San Diego, especially because Mondays tend to be very busy, after a long, holiday weekend. Did I mention the low is in the 30's tomorrow?! Anyway, if I could jet off to San Diego, I'd tell the cab driver to take me back to Paradise Point!
Paradise Point is a 44 acre island resort, that has everything you could possibly want and need during you stay in San Diego. Upon arrival, we found out they had upgraded us to a beach-side bungalow- those very first beach front pics and the last one, were about 500 feet from our villa door. My bf made fun of me, because we had this huge villa (that comfortably fit his entire family I might add), and the only thing I noticed that first night, was how Paradise Point left me a sweet note, a bundle of firewood, and a s'mores making kit, to use in one of the fire pits along the beach!
I'm not sure where to even begin my review, because of how much Paradise Point has to offer. (See a map of their facilities here). So, let me start off with the first thing we experienced - the food! The night we arrived, we had just eaten appetizers at a bar, while watching the Baylor vs OU game. The game made us lose our appetites, but later on, we were hungry. So, we ordered a pizza from one of their many restaurants, Caveman Pizza. Thanks, room service! The next day we visited their Barefoot Bar and Cantina for apps and HH. It was really good, but my favorite part, was that it was so close to the ocean. No better patio seating than ocean-side! My favorite eatery was Tidal, their award winning craft and catch restaurant. Located right on mission bay, the food doesn't get any fresher!
Whenever I traveled with my family as a kid, we were always doing something. To this day, I am still like that - I am bad at just sitting and relaxing. Paradise Point has so many interactive things for you to do! Whether it be laying on the beach, splashing in one of their pools, riding a bike or a surray, or climbing to the top of one of their island fixtures, you are not going to be bored! They also have plenty of water toys you can play with out on the sea. They truly have something for everyone. Did I mention they have a spa too? ;) On the off chance that you do what to leave the island, the resort is very close to other attractions and cute areas. We ventured off a couple of times to eat and shop in surrounding areas. This was a major plus! It is secluded but not to far from other things you might want to do.
Paradise Point is more than just a place to stay - it is a true destination. You can come for a vacation with your family, have a romantic getaway (or a wedding for that matter), or even host a work event. Whether it is business or pleasure, Paradise Point has you covered. I'm not sure when I'll be back in San Diego, but when I do return, I know I'll be heading to PP! I feel like I have barely scratched the surface of what Paradise Point has to offer.
Paradise Point is a part of Destination Hotels. To find out where its sister resorts are, head to this map. To learn more about Paradise Point Resort, visit their Website. To keep up with Paradise Point, follow them on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter. I received a media discount in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own.
